Work Experience department is the very pillar of the school as it carries forwards the cultural ethics of Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan's Mehta Vidyalaya which is Sanskrit and Sanskriti. The department is headed byMrs. Kirti B. Sarkar. The department instills creativity in various work experiences subjects like drawing, Dance, Vocal Music, Instrumental Music, Craft, Robotics, Band, Tabla and Woodcraft.

At the onset of the curricular training the primary students are also introduced to the various art forms tomake an art integrated learning. At primary level dance, music, clay, craft and drawing are introduced. Asthe students graduate to class 6th the Middle school, they choose their preferred work experience, andlearn the skills till class 10th. This develops a vocational skill which can be followed as a passion or takenup further as a profession.

The department also presents all major cultural shows held at school, various competitions relating to thecreative fields are looked after by the department. All the national festivals, Basant Panchami, Christmas, Annual functions, Farewell, Swaranjali and various other functions to celebrate various Festivals  and occasions are taken up and students are trained to give wonderful performances. Various foreign delegates have been gifted with beautiful paintings and have witnessed some of the finest dance and musical performances.

Art integration in various subjects is an integral part of the syllabus of all the subjects in fine arts, Maths, Science, S.S.T, English, Hindi, and many subjects have been integrated through art. It is a very important aspect of the learning process, it decompartmentalizes the learning and makes it interesting for the students, and is a must as per C.B.S.E. curriculum. This year the art integrated activities were uploaded on the C.B.S.E portal from class 1st to 12th. These activities made it possible for the Board classes to get thier admit cards.
