At Mehta Vidyalaya, we strongly believe that by engaging in ‘Act of Kindness’students develop sense of empathy and responsibility as Citizens of India. From the past many decades, students are involved in various activities ofcommunity services like blood donation camp, collection of woolen clothes, books, toys and other stationary items for the needy people, collection offunds for renowned NGOs like Smile foundation, Help Age India, IDF & Redcross ,awareness programmes on social issues like child labour, eye andorgan donation, environmental issues, visit to orphanages and old agehomes etc.
This year, school took a new initiative in association with Robin Hood Army(RHA) by involving students in social work activity on regular basis.
Under the initiative, students of classes Nursery to XII are requested to shareand donate one Roti wrapped in a butter/tissue paper on every Friday of theweek on a voluntary basis.
These Roti’s are collected from the school by theVolunteers of RHA and then distributed among people on the streets of Delhi.
