The UTS Innovation Challenge 2014 was organized by the University of Technology Sydney, in an attempt to let the innovators of future look into the problems of the present. Organized all over India, the challenge to the participants this year was using IT to help a rural or a remote Indian community. Our school’s project KISAN KONNECT made by Anushrav Vatsa, Aditya Pratap Singh, and Soumya Thakur under the guidance of Mrs. Aradhana Gambhir, to help Indian farming and agricultural community; made it to the top five beating some fifty schools all over India. Our team was accompanied by Mr. Shailender Verma, our promoter from SIEC education. For the final round, the team went to Mumbai, from 27th-28th November 2014, for the final round to present their idea to the judges.
We reached Mumbai on 27th November for the competition. The next morning our team faced tough competitions form other teams who were one the best all over India. Finally our school’s team emerged as winners beating the other teams and won the UTS Innovation Challenge 2014. We retuned back to Delhi the same evening with our trophy and medals.
