IT Assembly – Felicitation of Tech Titans
On August 1, 2025, the school held the Investiture Ceremony for TechEdge and TechBotix clubs. IT Prefects were appointed. The Principal and dignitaries felicitated students for their achievements and encouraged them for DMMITS 2025, celebrating leadership and excellence in interschool and intraschool tech events.
Holiday Homework Display
Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Mehta Vidyalaya organized Summer Holiday Homework Exhibition on 18th July 2025, showcasing the creative academic endeavors of students from classes Nursery to IX. The exhibition featured a diverse and vibrant range of multidisciplinary projects and activities, designed by the learners to foster 21st-century skills and competency-based learning.
The exhibits were thoughtfully conceptualized around the three core values enshrined in the school’s mission and vision—Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (The World is One Family), Sustainable Development, and Creative Expression. These themes encouraged students to think critically, express themselves creatively, and reflect on their role as responsible global citizens. Kalanaipunya exhibits highlighted artistic flair with a commercial acumen. The creative displays echoed the spirit of NEP 2020, which advocates experiential learning, creativity, and holistic development.
The exhibition was graced by the esteemed presence of Mr. K. Siva Prasad, Director, Bhavan's Delhi Kendra; Dr. C.K. Arya, Manager, Mehta Vidyalaya; Dr. (Mrs.) Anju Tandon, Principal; Mrs. Keerti Chaturvedi, Mrs. Megha Relan and Mrs. Remya Menon, Academic Coordinators of Senior, Middle and Primary Wings respectively. PTA Members were also present and took keen interest in the students’ work.
All the dignitaries and guests visited the classrooms and displays, and lauded the creativity, diligence, and conceptual depth reflected in the students’ presentations. They also appreciated the teachers' efforts in guiding students and integrating meaningful, value-based learning into the holiday assignments.
The exhibition served as a powerful platform to celebrate student learning and creativity, while reinforcing the school’s commitment to nurturing informed, expressive, and conscientious individuals.
Induction Programme
To mark the beginning of the new academic session, an Induction Programme for the session 2025–26 was organized at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Mehta Vidyalaya on 11th and 18th July 2025 in the Senior IT Lab. The programme aimed to familiarize newly appointed teachers with the institution’s core values, policies, expectations, and effective pedagogical practices.
The first day of the programme, held on 11th July, began with a warm welcome by Dr. Mrs. Anju Tandon, Principal, who shared the rich legacy of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan and the vision and mission of Mehta Vidyalaya. She highlighted the salient features of the school, emphasizing holistic education and value-based learning. This was followed by a detailed session conducted by Dr. Jyoti Dev Rishi, who spoke on the Roles and Responsibilities of a Teacher, including the Code of Conduct and the importance of ensuring Health and Safety of Children. Topics such as POCSO & Child Rights, Corporal Punishment, and Medical Concerns were discussed with clarity and depth, ensuring the teachers were sensitized to legal and ethical frameworks.
The second session took place on 18th July and focused on instructional excellence and inclusivity in the classroom. Ms. Avneet Kaur conducted an engaging session on Effective Lesson Planning, outlining strategies to frame learning objectives and measurable outcomes. The latter part of the session was led by Ms. Vijaylakshmi Sharma and Ms. Tulsi Baura, who presented an insightful discussion on Inclusive Education Practices and methods to identify and support Children with Special Needs.
The programme was well-received by all participants and proved to be an enriching experience. It served as a strong foundation for the newly inducted teachers, enabling them to align with the school’s values and uphold the standards of academic and moral excellence.
Annual Appreciation Day
Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Mehta Vidyalaya marked its annual Appreciation Day on 14 July 2025, honoring the Class XII CBSE subject toppers of the 2024–25 Board exams. During this ceremony, meritorious students were presented with Academic certificates crafted by their subject teachers, celebrating both student achievements and teacher dedication. The students of XI and XII students responded with enthusiastic applause, creating a vibrant atmosphere. Principal, Dr. (Mrs) Anju Tandon and Vice Principal , Mrs. Dimple Juneja congratulated the students and their respective subject teachers for the excellent work done in sustaining all round growth of the students. She further added that awards are a way to encourage good behaviour and to inculcate competitive spirit among the student.
Club Activities
On 4th July 2025 students of classes III - VIII enthusiastically took part in various club activities organized for enhancing skills and facilitate acquisition of knowledge, values, and beliefs to help students become global citizens . The hand on club activities also aim to develop 21st century skills in the students.
WELCOMING STUDENTS AFTER SUMMER BREAK
Welcoming the students after the summer break, an assembly was organized for classes I & II on 4th July, 2025. The assembly began with the school prayer . Students raptured on an energising and invigorating welcome dance followed by enactment on 'Healthy Daily Routine' and English recitation of the poem 'School Bells'.
Vice Principal, Mrs. Dimple Joneja and Academic Coordinator ( Primary ), Mrs. Remya Menon addressed the students and congratulated them for a wonderful presentation . The assembly concluded with National Anthem .
School Capacity Building Programme 2025-26
Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Mehta Vidyalaya conducted a 15-hour School Capacity Building Programme from May 14–28, 2025, aimed at enhancing educators' skills for holistic student development. The intensive workshops covered topics such as integrating values through English, holistic progress cards, legal awareness, disaster management, AI in education, inclusive education, emotional well-being, and cyber safety. These sessions were led by guest speakers and school faculty, reflecting the institution's commitment to continuous professional development.
